Four Months

I took Baby M to her four month appointment this week. Unfortunately, it did not go well. The doctor started saying words I DID NOT want to hear: Early intervention, low tone and not meeting developmental milestones. Not good! He said she is still in the normal range just at the bottom of the normal range.

I knew I was taking a chance every time I had another baby after John. Your chances of having another autistic child after the first is 1 in 10. The doctor said her delays are not autism related but he did use those words I didn't want to hear with John at 6 months. Baby M is a much better baby then John ever was so I'm not TOO worried yet but it will weigh heavily on my mind until she is 3 or until the doctor says it's time for intervention.

I know the Lord will never give you more than you can handle. I just don't want another special needs child to be something I have to handle. The first is plenty!!
