It's been a long time. So it's probably a big shock to the few people reading this that I'm actually updating.
I've been sick, really sick, so sick that I took myself to the ER last night. I've been throwing up like crazy. Some of you may know what this means but for those who don't, I'll let you in on the secret. I'm pregnant! Only 9 weeks so I feel like I'm announcing a bit prematurely but if you were to see me and my sickly looking self you would probably guess that I was pregnant anyway. I just can't seem to hide my sickness.
Anyhow, back to the ER. The Dr. was really nice. Apparently his wife is pregnant with their 6th and they haven't told anyone, partially because of the reaction they will get. Kind of like some of the reactions I have been getting. I realize that I get really sick, no one needs to point that out and no, I'm not crazy for doing this. Back to the Dr. I asked him if I could have a little ultrasound to see the heartbeat since I haven't seen my Dr. yet. He agreed to that and said they wouldn't document anything and I wouldn't be charged for this "sneak peak."
Skip to ultrasound. The ultrasound tech found the heartbeat quite easily and I was relieved. Then I asked if there was just one baby (I ask every time). She said yes, only one. Whew! Relief! The baby measures 8 weeks 6 days which is right on track. Looks like my due date is February 26th.

Now for the rest of the story. After the tech said there was just the one baby, she moved the ultrasound wand and said, "Wait!" In my head I was screaming, "No, you can't say wait! You only get one chance on that question!" At that point I started to cry or sob or bawl is more like it. She kept moving the wand and then said there was a baby #2. Twins! Now that's the shocker!!!

Oh my goodness! Congratulations! You are catching up to me in one go. :) I had actually really been wanting Maylee to be twins since I knew that we were probably going to have 2 more kids.
Can I help with anything? The girls can come over to play if you need a nap or a break or to go to your doctor appointments (I'm guessing you will be lucky and have to have a ton of them). I'm mostly just home with my little girls most of the time, so having a few playmates is no big deal. I am planning on joining a gym in 2 weeks and will be working out in the mornings, but I'll probably be home by about 10:30 most days. I can even stop by and pick them up on my way home if you want. Just let me know!
And that's exactly why I don't dare try again! Just kidding, congratulations! That's so exciting! If you need help with anything, please let me know, seriously!
Woo hoo, you're in for a wild ride! What fun twins are! I'm so excited for you and I'm happy to lend a helping hand at any time. You can do this Michelle, and we will all help. :) Love you!!!
Congrats!!! That is awesome! I am so excited for ALL of you.
