Insurance issues

I purchased some insurance a while ago and decided I needed to cancel it. I called my agent but he didn't answer. His partner answered so I proceeded to tell him what I needed hoping he could help me. The conversation went something like this:

Me: Hi Jason.

Marty: This is Marty.

Me: Oh, ok, maybe you can help me. I purchased some insurance through Jason and now I need to cancel it. I've never received anything from the insurance company so I don't have the phone number or a policy number.

Marty: Well, have you tried American Family or State Farm?

Me: No, I just need to cancel my insurance.

Marty: (Garbled talking that I can't understand.)

Me: I just need the number.

We talked for about 2 more minutes with him trying to "sell" me other insurance and me getting very frustrated because I was having a very difficult time understanding him. I thought, "Wow, for an insurance salesman, he doesn't talk on the phone very well." I was just about ready to just ask him to have Jason call me when I gave him one more chance.

Me: I'm really not following you. I just need to cancel my insurance.

Marty: Um, this is a mechanic shop.

Silence.

I just busted up. I apologized profusely, told him that he probably thought I was crazy and finally let the poor guy go.

I am still laughing about it. I wouldn't have been so confused if he hadn't tried to help me with my insurance needs.
