34 1/2 weeks and counting

I had a doctor appointment today. I mentioned to him that I have been having a lot of contractions. (When I was pregnant with Kate I had lots of contractions as well, and being the paranoid person I am I ran to the hospital several times thinking surely I was in labor. I was never dilating. This time I have held off and made myself think logically, knowing the contractions are just Braxton Hicks.) My doctor did the strep b test and wanted to check me just to see if the contractions were doing anything. Sure enough, I am dilated to a 1 almost a 2! After my doctor told me that he said he needed to think seriously about this. He then told me he didn't want me having this baby this week. Yea, I don't want to have the baby this week either! He told me if I start having more than 5 contractions an hour to go to the hospital and get a shot to stop them. Once I hit July 26th he will just let me have the baby. Um, I'm not really ready. (Of course, are you ever ready?) I have so much to do, but now I have to take it easy and try not to freak out!!
