You would think she wasn't my daughter

Yesterday at church I had to substitute in Kate's nursery class. This is only the third time she has been to nursery and she doesn't love it. Usually she cries and I stay with her anyway. I had The Dad carry Kate into the nursery class because I thought it might make things better. Boy, was I wrong. He handed her to me and left. You would have thought he left her with a complete stranger. She started screaming and cried for several minutes. She knew I was the one holding her but apparently I'm just not good enough. Her dad is definitely her favorite. The other nursery leaders just laughed and all I could say was: "You'd think she wasn't my daughter."
