Social Issues

Most autistic kids have social issues and John is no exception. I say this all the time . . . sometimes he just doesn't understand. Tonight that was clear.

My sister came over and our kids were playing together. At the end of the evening she told her daughter it was time to go and to give Scott and John a hug and a kiss. She was a bit shy about doing this but John wasn't. He thought he was leaving and was trying to hug and kiss Scott. Scott was squirming like you wouldn't believe! He did NOT want a kiss or hug from John.

My sister's daughter didn't want to do hugs and kisses so she told her to do it again and of course John was hugging and kissing Scott . . . again. Oh boy!!
